Prison Tower (Montañana)

Description: The tower forms part of the town’s defenses, located one level below the gate that used to seal off the castle. It is a masonry building with a square base and four floors. The ground floor has no windows or doors and is covered with a smooth vault, and the first floor features a brick doorway with a slightly pointed arch on the outside and a lowered arch on the inside. The second floor has windows on the west, south and east sides, while the third floor has arrowslits to the north, a window on the east and south faces, and another window and arrowslit on the west face. It is covered with a gable roof and stone slabs.
