Finestras is one of the most coveted corners of Montsec.
Its inaccessibility makes it hard to reach, whether on foot, by car, by bike or by kayak. It’s never easy but it’s definitely worth it, and the effort is what makes it all the more special!

From Montfalcó you’ll have a wonderful day of hiking. Take the PR-HU-201 towards Fet and, once you get there, take the PR-HU-45 towards Finestras.

Now you’ve reached Finestras, it’s time to visit its hermitages and the abandoned village! It’ll only take you ten minutes to climb up to San Marcos, but you’ll need at least 30 minutes just to get up to San Vicente. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy discovering the place and to live in the moment!
Pay special attention to the place names: the famous wall is called the “Great Wall of Finestras”, or Finestres, or as the locals would call it, the “Village Rocks”. It’s definitely a wonder, but remember, it’s the Great Wall of Finestras, not of China, Aragón, Huesca or Catalonia!
