Mont-Rebei is considered to be one of the most mythical areas for adventure climbing in Spain.
The Catalonia Wall boasts over 160 routes which will require our best effort as climbers in order to make the most of them.
Access Points
Depending on the route you’re going to climb you’ll have to head to either one face of the wall or the other.
- Car park 1 La Masieta. From Puente de Montañana, cross over the River Noguera towards Tremp. After a few metres, take the turning for Alsamora and you’ll find the car park just before you reach the town.
- Car park 2 From Àger, continue along the road that takes you up to Coll d’Ares and, after a few kilometres you’ll find a wide opening. From here, take the trail to the left that takes you to Pla d’en Lluis.
Zones
Depending on the route you’re going to climb you’ll have to head to either one face of the wall or the other.
From the north (La Masieta) you can access the routes on the left-hand side of the wall.
From Àger, you can reach the easternmost part of the wall.
Services
Water: There is no water in Puente de Montañana, but on the slopes in Àger, there may be a stream that you’ll have to cross before you reach the car park.
Sleep: You cannot spend the night in La Masieta, but you can in the area surrounding the car park, although there are no services.
On the slopes of Àger, people usually park in Pla d’en Lluis, but there are no services there either.
You can find accommodation in both Àger and Puente de Montañana.
Emergency: Call 112 for emergency rescue when climbing this wall.
