If you’ve ever dreamed about setting out on an adventure in a remote place immersed in nature and with complete freedom to explore to your heart’s content, then you need to give packrafting a go! Come and find out the best way to discover Montsec!
Because packrafting really is like dreaming! Thanks to the endless possibilities it offers, your mind will just wander and wander. Here we have a itinerary that is suitable for both those looking to get their feet wet in the world of packrafting and those who are already experienced in the discipline.
Day 1. 4 pm. Reception at Montfalcó. Welcome briefing with an introduction to the journey and a workshop on preparing and using the equipment.
Day 2. We’ll leave early and head to Finestras, where we’ll get to discover the abandoned village of Fet and the Sabinós mountains.
Once in Finestras, we’ll have time to discover its hermitages and defensive wall. We’ll stop for a while to have lunch and prepare the packrafts.
This is where the water section starts. We’ll pass beneath Blancafort’s walls, where we’ll see several vultures nests, and then we’ll be welcomed by amazing views of Canelles Reservoir. Next we’ll follow Fet gorge until we reach Montfalcó pier, where a 4×4 will be waiting to take us back up to the mountain refuge.
Day 3. An early start means we’ll be able to enjoy the walkways and the gorge in complete peace and quiet and, once we reach La Masieta on the other side of the reservoir, we’ll stop so that we can get the equipment ready. Once we’re prepared, we’ll head back to Montfalcó pier, but this time by water.
